Do We Scream More Than We Anticipate???

Ugly Little Truth:

So do we??
I know that I do and it shatters me to admit it.

I grew up in a very out-of-this-world environment, my parents
are Hispanic (Puerto Rican).
My dad was more quiet and kept to himself,
But my mother was always screaming and loud.
And if I ever did anything wrong you better believe she had
a belt in hand or a slipper (Chancleta!! lol).

Well I catch myself screaming at my house,
And it's embarrassing because it was never me.
I'm more of a calm person and at the end of the day
 I didn't like it,
And I want it to take it out of my life.

So I did what everybody does nowadays, Googled it.
I found a blog entry on how to take the screaming and getting
agitated out of your life slowly.
(I don't remember the link, but I'll try to find it to share with
everyone)
And I have to say it worked even though I changed some
of the things on the list to fit my life style.

Basically what I did was to take a note every time
that I screamed or got agitated wrote it down and go over the
reason why I felt that way.

And after a couple of days instead of screaming or
getting mad I found myself making a note to myself
letting myself know it's not worth to scream.

I enjoy what I do and the type of person than I am,
I know it in my heart that I'm a good Wife and Mom.
I don't let tragedy or tribulation beat me down because I need to be
strong for my family.

So I learned that screaming is not the answer to get anyone's
attention, If you need to scream to be heard than don't waste your time.
Your time to speak will come and that's when you come
and say what is bothering you and communicate much better than
tearing at each other throats.

I hope this helps...

DIY Coral Pink Wreath-

Is Better in Pink:

So holidays are over. Boo Hoo!!!
Why can't it last longer? Lol

I wanted to put something up since I took my
decorations down, And my door looks pretty bare!!!

I was pushing for something to represent Valentine's Day
that is coming up but then I don't want to have to change it
in such a short period.

So I sat and thought about my color pallet, And I've been
obsessing with Coral Pink for weeks now.
and decided to go for it.

Materials:
  • Wreath Wire (I got mine at A.C. Moore)
  • 2 Rolls of regular Burlap (Also at A.C. Moore)
  • 2 Chevron Coral Pink Burlap (I found these at Walmart)
  • Floral Wire
  • Flowers (Any that you like, I got these at Dollar Tree)
  • The letter is optional but it could add a nice touch to your wreath

I fell in love with these colors, the coral pink is so
different to what I'm use to and is just perfect.

A little idea on how to start.
you could go to YouTube and search for videos on
wreath making. I haven't done one yet but soon I promise to make one.

It's coming out pretty nice.
It's so angelical and peaceful.
I know it kind of looks springy but I couldn't resist.

It's amazing what you could create if you set your mind
to it, And I love that I take such challenges and bring them to life.

Even in the night it shines bright!
I love the end result it's just breathtaking.

I hope everyone loves this new post,
And if you need any help making any of these ideas
feel free to leave me a comment with any questions.
I will gladly help.

Stay Positive and Inspire to Create!!!

DIY Kids Frames-

Simple & Beautiful:

I've been decorating my princess' room, with things
she loves the most.

She loves almost everything (except polka dots, lol)
from Doc McStuffins to Sofia the First. Basically anything
Disney.

I wanted to add pictures on her wall because they are pretty bare.
So I decided to paint some frames the color of her decorations.
And I think they came out pretty good.

Materials:
  • Wooden Frames - (I got these at Walmart)
  • Acrylic Paint - (Any color you desire)
  • Paint brushes
  • Wooden Decorations - (I got the firefly & butterfly at Walmart also)
  • Buttons or any Accessory you like
  • A bowl with water and a Tissue (To clean the paint off the brushes)
  • Hot glue gun & glue (To glue accessories)

You can make it for your little ones room or something
beautiful for your living room.
It doesn't have to be kiddy if you don't want it to be.

I added buttons because I had a bunch of buttons
laying around from scrap booking, and I wanted
to kind of get rid of them.
Plus they look so CUTE!

I hope everyone enjoyed my little simple project.
It's very simple and the most cute thing you could make
for your little one.
Even for your living room or your bedroom.
