Gift Idea-

The Power of Arts & Crafts:

We could make this for the Holidays or just for any occasion.
I made this one for my sister-in-law for this Christmas.

That's the main reason why I waited to post this
idea up because I didn't want her to see it yet! Lol.

Is very simple but very memorable, and extra special.
Family to me means a lot.
And it means more when it's made with a lot of love.

Materials:
  • Picture Carousel- (I got this one in A.C. Moore)
  • 4 Pictures
  • Acrylic Paint- (Any color you desire, even texture spray paint would be nice)
  • Paint Brushes
  • Water- (To Clean the brushes)
  • A Knob- (This one didn't come with one so I decided to add one)
  • Hot Glue Gun- (I used this to seal where the pictures go inside so they won't slide off)
  • Sand Paper- (Just to make sure that there's no splinters coming out on the corners)

I really enjoyed working on this project.
It came out so beautiful.

I made this little video to show all the 4 sides of the carousel.
I love that it spins and you could see all 4 parts.

I hope everyone enjoyed this amazing and elegant idea.
May everyone have an amazing Christmas with their loved ones...

There's Light even in the Darkest Days-

Darkest Moments Can't Take You Down:

We can't let the darkest moments in our life determine
the rest of the time we have left in this world.

I've experience tough situations in my life that I couldn't
let it beat me down.

At times I look at the moon and think
"Wow, I have come so far in life. When
I thought everything was ruined"

There's light even in the darkest hours.
that light represent Hope & Faith.
We have to believe that because once you let the
negativity the rest means nothing.

I confess that I overthink everything.
I worry about every situation a lot, and is not healthy at all.
Is NOT good for your Mind or your Body!

Keep your mind clear of everything.
Relax and enjoy every second with the people you love,
you don't know when is the last time you'll have with them.
Our time here is borrow we have no clue when would be the
day that we won't be able to wake up.
And we have to be grateful every time we are
able to open our eyes and see another beautiful day.
No matter the weather or the mood!
Always say Thank You...

Some will think ARGH! she don't have no clue
what she saying!
But every experience I endure made me the person I am today.
I experience disappointment, loss, heart breaks and so much
more...But I grew out of it because all that pain only
hurt me more and all I wanted was PEACE!!!
and HAPPINESS.

Hope everyone love this post. I wanted to write something
from my heart and something that could help anyone
reflect and make their life a little better!!!

Let's remain at peace with our self and with others.

DIY Shelf from Pallet Wood-

From Simple to Extraordinary:

A while back I found this pallet and I wanted
to make something amazing with this piece.
And let me say that it wasn't easy but with my husband's help
we achieved a very beautiful piece.

I moved to this home a while back and my old apartment
was small, so I really don't have any wall art or canvases.
I was sad to see my dining room walls so bare.
So I plucked up the courage and decided to make something.

Materials:
  1. A pallet
  2. Sand Paper (I Got Mine at Home Depot)
  3. A Can of Spray Paint ( Home Depot, Make Sure it says for Wood)
  4. A Saw
  5. Nails and Hammer
  6. Hooks for Picture Frames (You'll use this to hang this shelf on the wall)
  7. Measuring Tape (To measure the size you prefer your shelf to be)
  8. Any type of decoration you please to put on there!!!
The simplest things would make this piece look amazing.
I went to Target and got the gold candle holder and I love it.
And for $3.00 It's an awesome piece.

I wanted a more vintage look, and the end product doesn't disappoint.
I used another ply of wood to make sure that it kept the others straight.

Make sure that after you set all the wood the way you desire that you
sand your pallet down. You could get a splinter if not done correctly and
those are very painful.

I love this shelf, the wood looked so beautiful without paint.
and after we sanded it down it was so smooth.
I made sure I sanded the edges as well so when you are ready to
put it on the wall is not rough in your hands.

I'm not very good with a Hammer lol!!
So I let my husband do his thing.
He was having so much fun with this project.
It was our first project together and I enjoyed it very much...

Make sure that the nails are going through the wood as
straight as possible because any wrong moves and the wood could
crack on you.

This project was time consuming but every minute was well
worth it. We spray painted this shelf in the basement. Out of experience,
I DO NOT recommend for you to do that and more if you have kids in your home.
Unless you have a window down their that you could open to let
the fumes vent outside or just spray it outside or liquid paint.

You will love the results!

Hope you guys enjoy this new post.
And that everyone is having a blessed day.

DIY Christmas Decoration for your Home -

Welcoming Christmas:

It's that time of the year where we all go
a little crazy on decorations for our home.
I kind of over did it but I love all of my decorations.
And mostly because I love Christmas!!!
And I get to do things as a Family.

On this post I will show all of the things I put together
for this amazing holiday.

I love the fact that my princess helped decorate our tree.
Family traditions are so amazing.
These moments are the ones we cherish the most.

Our tree this year was inspired by the Elf on the Shelf.

It's my first time putting a garland together. And I have to say
it came out pretty good.
Better than I envisioned lol.

I stood with the traditional colors because of the Elves,
And mostly because I kind of got tired of the other different
colors of ornaments.

It looks so much better when the sun hits it.
I fell in love with this piece...

Being that the Garland on the stairs turned out so well,
I had to put it on the entrance to my dinning room.
I love the bow, it's so easy to put together.

We cannot forget the wreath, because I feel that if there's no
wreath involve then Christmas is not complete,
I love the Poinsettias is a flower that my
Mom and Grandmother always bought for the holidays.
It made it so much more complete.

I added gold and the traditional mistletoe and I
have to say it looks amazing.

I had to add some decorations outside too.
I wanted to bring the Christmas spirit to my
neighborhood because not everyone is putting anything outside
and let me just say it worked!!!
Mission Accomplished! :-)

I also made this simple tree for my Dining Room.
I got the styrofoam cone at Dollar Tree
and the Jaune Twine at Walmart.
Very inexpensive and very elegant.

I also added Jingle bells. You could add anything, you can even add
Pom Poms if you like.

I got these stockings at Dollar Tree also,
and to me they looked kind of plain so I decided to
sew our initials on them. And they look much better.

I hope you guys enjoy all of my different ideas for this
amazing time of the year.

May everyone have a very beautiful and amazing Christmas
with your loved ones. And that your Holidays be full of Love and Joy!!!

Merry Christmas And Happy Holidays
from my family to yours...

Elf on the Shelf DIY Outfit-

Our Elf on the Shelf (Jimmy):

I will like everyone to meet our family elf,
My princess named him Jimmy!!!
He's been with us for 3 years now,
and my daughter adores him.

.

I wanted to get him an outfit but they were a bit
too expensive, so I decided to make one
of from felt fabric.
Trust me when I say it wasn't easy to make them,
but it was all worth it.

Lol I also made him his own personal sled!!!
This time of year is the best of them all.
We enjoy family time together and we stay to our
traditions!

Everything is hand sewn.
I outlined him on the felt fabric to some how have an idea
on where to cut and sew.
It was fun creating an outfit from scratch.
And is UNIQUE.

"Jimmy" appeared on Thanksgiving day!
When she went down the stairs and saw him it was
a beautiful thing to see, she light up and was so excited.
These are the moments that we as Moms
cherish the most.

We wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS
And HAPPY NEW YEAR.
And that your holidays be full of love and joy!!!

Life Changes-

The different takes in Life:

I feel that the changes of seasons are more or less the same
as our life changes!
We grow, we mature and we fall.
Is in our power what we do when we fall.
Do we give up? or
Do we fight to become better?

But at times when we feel like our world is
turning against us we give up.
And we shouldn't.
We are the ones in charge of our life &
what we do with it!

They say wisdom come with age.
I don't agree.
Wisdom comes from our experiences in life,
what we do in moments of failure.
Just because our failures makes us better.

At times I feel like everything in life is
suffocating me, but I get up and shrug it off
because I'm the one in charge of my life.
I don't want to look back and see that I
let my emotions ruined a perfect day.

It's sad to see what this world has come to.
So much violence, so much hate.
I see nature and hear the peace and the beauty
it shares everyday.
How the leaves changes it's color and how they fall.
The peace that nature brings to our hearts and we all
take it for granted.

People are capable,
at anytime in their lives,
of doing what they dream of - Paulo Coelho

I wish a lot of us could live by this quote.
let our dreams take us where we deserve to be.
Let's do it in peace and harmony.

I wrote this post from the bottom of my heart.
I don't show emotions because I was never taught how,
I want to better myself for my daughter and my husband.

They deserve the best!!!
And I'm willing to work on myself and my faults,
for they could enjoy a better me and a better life...

Let's see the world with new eyes.
Let's cherish everyday like it was the last time!
Life is short to live miserable and full of hate.
Let's live in Peace and Love!

Chicken Parmesan Casserole-

Delicious Dinner Idea:

When dinner time comes around, we start
wondering hum!!! What can we make today?
I like to try to make simple dishes.

There are times that I don't want to
be in the kitchen too long.

I saw this delicious platter on a video somewhere.
and I had to make it.
But I made it my own way!!!
Hope you guys love this dish!!!

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs of Chicken Breast (Cut into cubes or strips)
  • 1 Pkg, Of Shredded Mozzarella
  • 1 Pkg, Of Shredded Parmesan
  • Basil
  • 1 box of Pasta (I prefer Penne or Shells)
  • 1 Jar of Tomato Sauce ( I used Rinaldi's Three Cheese Flavored)
  • Olive Oil
  • For seasoning the Chicken, I used Garlic powder, Adobo (Goya), Black pepper, And some Basil leaves.
Photo credited:Olga's Craft Den

First Step:
In a pot put water and drizzle some Olive oil and salt.
bring it to a boil and then put your pasta.
Stir it from time to time to make sure is cooking properly.
While the pasta is in process, you should proceed to
making the chicken.

Second Step:
After the Chicken breast is cut into cubes or strips.
You start seasoning it.
I did mines with Garlic powder, Adobo (Goya), Black Pepper and 2 tbs of Olive
oil.
After seasoning get a pan (big enough to stir fry your chicken) Drizzle Olive oil,
and start stir frying your Chicken.
It'll be ready when chicken is golden a little bit put cut one little piece and check the
inside of the chicken is white.
When is done set to the side.

Third Step:
Drain the pasta and put it back in the pot.
Also add your chicken to the same pot as the pasta.
Now you put the whole jar of sauce and at least 1 Tbs of water,
And stir the Chicken, Pasta and Sauce all together.

Fourth Step:
Prep your baking pan, drizzle with olive oil.
Then you add your chicken and pasta one small layer first, then you add
Mozzarella, Parmesan and Drizzle a little bit of Basil.
Now you add another layer of your pasta.
And repeat.
(I only did 2 layers, but if you like more layers you can feel free to add them).

Fifth step:
Pre-heat oven on 375º degrees
And then put your dish in the oven for 20 mins.

And then enjoy!!!!

BON APPÉTIT!

DIY Holiday Wreath-

Holiday Season Wreaths:

I'm SUPER excited to share this project with
everyone because I been wanting to make this
for a while now.

I'm big on the whole holiday decorations, especially now.
I love Christmas!!!
But right now is Thanksgiving Holiday, so Christmas has to
wait a little longer lol!!!!

I know that most people buy their wreath already premanufactured.
But wouldn't it be so COOL to
personalize your own!!!

The whole idea of a wreath to me is
the colors and the arrangements, not every store
has good quality or maybe the color isn't right.

So I decided to look into how to make my own.
I looked at a bunch of different videos and different techniques.
And I came up with one that is my own technique.

Materials:

  • 18" Inch Wreath Wire
  • 3 Rolls of 5 Yards of Burlap Ribbon
  • 1 Roll of regular 1" Inch Ribbon ( Any color you prefer)
  • Floral Wire
  • 1 Stem of Flowers
  • Scissors
  • A Wooden letter ( It could be for your First or Last name initial)
  • Acrylic Paint ( Any color you desire)
  • Paint brushes
  • A leaves Garland ( This is optional, I wanted to give mine more style)
  • Stapler & Staples ( Is so you could put the rope on the back of the letter)
  • Jute Cord ( I got mines at Walmart, Is to tie your letter to the wreath)

The picture above is the beginning, is a bit
complicated at the start but then it gets easier.
I learned to tuck between the 3 lines then twist.

Make sure that while you are putting the burlap on the
wire that you are fluffing as you go.
It's starting to look great, Right???

I added Orange ribbon for that
Thanksgiving/Harvest feeling.
Plus it gives the wreath variety...

After that I added Flowers and Leaves.
Now it's coming along pretty good.
The flowers also give it a festive/thanksgiving!!!

Now all you have to do is set up the letter.
(Letter Is optional), I put the Letter "G"
Because that's my family's Last Name Initial.

I love everything about it. It gives my home that
welcoming feeling.
I'm so glad that I pushed myself to do something
that I thought was challenging and impossible.

If you set your mind to do the things that you love, NOTHING is impossible and you'll be
surprised with the results.

Let's push ourselves to be the best we can BE!!!

I hope everyone enjoyed my post!!!
And I hope we could inspire others and stay always positive.

DIY Crates for Shelves-

Painted Crates for Shelves:

I honestly saw this idea in Pinterest.
But I was to nervous to put it together.
I thought the paint wasn't going to come out the
way I pictured it...
But I put the fear to the side and decided to give it
a go!!!

You'll need a few things for this project.
All my materials (Including the Crates)
were purchased at A.C. Moore.

Materials:

  • Crates ( I got 2 Large & 1 Small one )
  • Wooden Glue ( I used Tacky Glue )
  • A wide Paintbrush
  • Acrylic Paint ( Any color that you prefer )
  • A Level
  • Nails or Screws ( to place it on the wall )

I painted my daughter's crates 3 different shades of pink.
I wanted these to go in my princess' room because she
has tons of books and little stuffed animals. I
wanted to organize her room a little bit more now that
she's in school and soon she'll be bringing homework.
So I created a little area for her books and so she
can feel comfortable doing her thing...

I love this project because you could design it however you
like and it goes perfectly anywhere in the house, which for me is great!!!

The good thing about projects with wooden crafts is that you
have the power to make it in so many ways.
From vintage, to distress wood, to staining it, and
painting it different colors!!!

I hope everyone enjoyed this project as much I love putting it
together. If anyone makes this project feel free to share your
project on my Facebook, so we can inspire people together.

My purpose is to inspire as much as I can and
to show my art & craft.
I love my craft and my creativity, and I feel

 inspiration and a little push!!!
