DIY Creating a Girl's Dress -

Making a Dress From Daddy's Old Shirt:

So I took the courage and made my daughter a
dress from an old shirt of dad's.

It took me a day and a half, and I made it all by
hand. No Sewing Machine Needed!!!

Materials:

  • A Needle & Thread
  • An Old Shirt ( It could be a long sleeve or short)
  • Scissors
  • Measuring Tape (Measure the child's Old Shirt, so you get the exact size you need)
  • Studs or any Pearls or Beads (For the collar of the shirt, Is optional)

You could mark the fabric with the pins or with fabric chalk.
I used my baby and pin where I was going to cut it.

I enjoyed the project even though it
was a bit overwhelming because I did not want
to mess it up.

Oh my GOD!!! I love the outcome,
She looks so adorable with her new dress.
And is perfect for winter season.

I hope everyone enjoys this amazing project that I put together.

Embroidery for First Day of School-

First Day of School is near!

So! My princess starts School this year!
We are so excited and nervous at the same time, but
we know that she'll love it.
She's starting Pre-K!!!

So this is Early Learning School, And my munchkin
doesn't really need notebooks and stuff.
But she needs a Book bag, Blanket and extra Clothes...

I decided to get her a simple fleece blanket.
Now they told me to write her name with a marker, but the
blanket was so cute I didn't want to mess it up.

I embroidered her beautiful and unique name
on it!!!
AWESOME

I was just so surprised with the results, because it has been
years since I've done it!

Thanks Grandma, For teaching me such an amazing and
handy craft.

I made a little video so you guys can get the idea of
how to start if you are interested in it! It is so easy and it
beats writing things with a marker and it stays for a long time.

Hope everyone enjoys this new project.

Awesome Day For Crafting:

I went to NYC to visit family & friends.
And decided to go to a Arts & Craft Store,
That I used to work for!!! Which is pretty Awesome!!!

So I picked a few things up including
this awesome wooden train.
We had to put it together which was a bit challenging
but we managed, lol.
The point was to show my princess the beauty
in Arts & Crafts.
And let me say she loved it!!!
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!

After assembling it, the next part is the fun part.
Painting the amazing choo choo train
(My Princess's Words, Hahaha).

Let's do more with our kids, they learn
a lot from the little things we do with them

Gardening Therapy-

Fixing A Distressed Garden:

When meditation doesn't work, I try gardening
& it works miracles.

I posted a while back about gardening, I had very green and healthy grass.
But it got damaged by a drainage pipe being clogged and the water
settling in my garden bed. It destroyed everything!!!

I was so heart broken and sad about it.
But I figured it out after the pipe was fixed. I got
brave enough and said to myself, well it's time to get down
to business and get you back to your healthy & beautiful stage!!!

I took 1 inch of the toxic dirt!!!
And disposed of it,
Replaced it with Miracle-Gro Hydrate Soil
(This can be found anywhere, I got mine at Walmart).

I also re-potted some of the damaged plants in pots.
With Miracle-Gro Potting Soil (Also Walmart).

I wanted to salvage all my plants not caring how bad they
looked but the roots still look healthy.

I used Miracle-Gro Plant Food!!! (Walmart too, Any of these products
can be found anywhere where plants are sold
).
And let me say that it works wonders...

Hard-work definitely pays off!!!
I just wish this warm weather stays a little bit
longer!!!

Let's create something amazing!!!
It could be through Mother Nature or Art,
Even Craft!!!
All it takes is WILL POWER.

Hope everyone enjoyed this post.

The Art of Beads

The Power of Art:

Welcome to a day of creativity!

I bought this little SD Card
because I have tons of pictures of my family
(specially my princess, lots of them).
But is very small so I decided to
put strings of beads so I won't be
able to misplace it or lose it...

I just fell in love with this craft!!!
Is therapy on a very stressful day...
& the best part of it, you could put it on anything which is
really cool...Even KEYS!!!

I created this short video to give you an
idea how to start.
There are tons of different types of beads but I fell in love
with these ones;
(I got these beads in Walmart, in the crafts section).
I used cross stitching thread is thicker and you could separate
the thread on the thickness you prefer.
(These you could find in Walmart, Michael's, Jo Ann's Etc.)

I really hope you guys enjoy!!!

I make these to inspire as much people as I can.
Staying Positive & Inspire is my goal.

"Quesitos" By: Olga

One of my Culture Desserts:

I love "Quesitos" they are so simple to make;
& so delicious when they are done!!! Lol

Ingredients & Materials:
  1. Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry (Is in the freezer aisle)
  2. 8.oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese (room temp.)
  3. 3/4 Sugar Granulated (I use Domino)
  4. 1 Egg White
  5. Confectioner's Powdered Sugar
  6. Baking Sheet
  7. Parchment Paper
  8. 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
  9. Brush (bbq brush)

First Preheat Oven To 375 degrees. Prepare the baking sheet
by wetting the pan and place the parchment paper.

After that is done prepared
We going to open up the Puff Pastries & Lay them
down cut them in square (I prefer 4 by 4).

Now in a bowl deep enough, I place the cream cheese and 1/2 cup of sugar
also 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. When all ingredients are set up mix it all together
(I use a Mix Mixer, just in case is one of those electric ones lol).

When the mix is done, we will take the puff pastry and lay it on the
baking sheet with a spoon you will put some of your
filling mix. When that is done you'll close them and with a brush
put some of the egg white on them. After that grab a spoon and shake some
sugar on them (the remainder of the sugar). after they all done pop them in the oven.
For 15 to 20 minutes (or until they are golden brown).
When they done drizzle them with the confectioner's powdered
sugar and ENJOY!!!

Hope everyone loved the video,
